QKR challenge- paper piecing

This week's theme is paper piecing.  I used the manatee stamp for my card along with some files from my SIL library.

I used different patterns in my SIL library to print the cut files then cut them with my Cameo.
I left a lot of the water swirls and the tips of the grass loose for more movement and the manatee is mounted on foam tape.

Happy thoughts

Today I am sharing the progressive challenge image from Simply Betty on Facebook
She is colored with pencils and blended with gamsol.
I added glitter to her wings and added "dew drops"
on the paper flowers.

Doll house blanket

This is going to be such a cool project when I get it done.
I'm such an ADHD crafter. I've got a dozen or more crochet projects going.
I can't resist the cuteness!

This is the laundry room and the bedroom for a doll house blanket!
What a fun idea right?

Happy 4th!

Design Team

Today I'm sharing a cool box card with you using the adorable image from Sunsational stamps.
Her name is Patriotic Patricia, click the link at the bottom of my post to check her out.
I made the box and decorated it using some die cuts and stickers I have.

Here's a peak at the initial opening.
I couldn't get my video to load, but as you pull the box open each element pops up into place.

 Isn't she adorable!!!!??

Have you been to the shop yet?   There are so many adorable images to look at

I'm adding this to the sparkle and shine challenge at Incy Wincy designs.

Friends theme blanket progress

This is going to be my all time favorite project I think!
Friends is my favorite show, I own all seasons on dvd and have seen each episode multiple times.
So, when I came across this pattern I HAD to have it.
It's slow going because I have way too many projects going, but I'm thrilled so far.

QKR challenge-Stitching!

This week's theme is stitching.
I don't have a sewing machine so I used one of my embossing folders that has a cute quilt look to it.
You can find the purrfect stamp here.

I found the denim paper at the Dollar Tree! It's so cute, it's thin so I had to be careful embossing it, it likes to actually cut through.  I used one of my TH ink pads to darken the embossed lines so they showed up better.

For the layer under the phrase, I used my favorite glitter paper that Joann's carries.

12 months of Christmas challenge 30

Challenge #30: Optional Theme...Fur, Fluff, Feathers OR Fins

This month our optional theme is a fun one! Who doesn't love cute animals?
I made 2 cards today. It's usually pretty hard to pick a favorite and when Imagine That is our sponsor I really have a hard time because I don't' think there's a single image that Kris has put out that I don't like!
So, these are the sets we were given to work with. I decided to go with the pre-colored version, mainly because the colors are so bright, perfect for Christmas cards being made in the summer!

We have these adorable animal foot print papers to work with from Lisa.
I layered the snowman and the banner over the mouse foot prints. I love the glow around them.

For the puppy, I used one of the papers that come in the set for the first layer, I then used the dog paw paper.  I like how the paws peak through the dog's layer.

I've learned the hard way that when mailing Christmas cards thinner is better! So I didn't add anything else to these.

Crochet graphs

I learned a new technique for crochet graphs.
This is single crochet.  The other type I've been doing are corner to corner.

I like it, not as clean lines as corner to corner but still pretty cool.

I love that the front and back are both clean so the blanket looks good either way.

For the guys

Today I used the dragon stamp and some DCWV papers to make my card.
This week's theme is For the guys.
After I colored my dragon and cut him out, I used shimmer mist to spray him. I love the look it gives him. It's subtle until the card shifts in the light.

Sweet Friend

This card I made for a friend's birthday.
It's from Creative Kuts, these z box cards are really great.

I just love the papers I embellished it with.
It's the Vintage Lane DCWV paper stack.
